Cork Airport - Passanger 10m

Cork Airport and Ryanair were celebrating as Ryanair’s 10 millionth passenger boarded at Cork Airport. To mark the occasion, Ryanair presented the 10 millionth passenger, Cork native Sinead Hurley, with a pair of return flights to Tenerife.

Cork Airport has operated Ryanair routes from the airport for 26 years with the airline initially operating a route to London Stansted. Passengers in the South West can jet off to a choice of 21 exciting destinations from Cork Airport.

Commenting on Ryanair’s milestone passenger figures, Cork Airport Managing Director, Niall Mac Carthy said, “I am delighted to welcome Ryanair’s 10 millionth Passenger through Cork Airport at the start of a new year and am excited to be looking forward to building on this significant milestone over the next 12 months.

The growth in Ryanair’s passenger base at Cork Airport since 1987 has been impressive and we are delighted to see the airline continue to serve over 20 destinations from Cork this year. The addition of the new East Midlands service since October is a further addition to the range of destinations served direct from Cork Airport to the greater Munster region.”

Commenting on the significant milestone, Ryanair’s Lisa Cashin, said, “Ryanair is delighted to celebrate 10 million passengers at Cork Airport. Ryanair began operating at Cork 26 years ago with a route to London Stansted and today it offers passengers in the South West a choice of 21 exciting destinations.

To celebrate Ryanair is releasing 100,000 seats across its European network at prices starting from €17.99 for travel on Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur in February and March and these “all in” cheap flights will be available on over 1,000 of Ryanair’s European routes, but must be booked on the Ryanair.com website before midnight (24:00hrs) Mon, 27 Jan.”

Ryanair seat sale will see the airline release 100,000 seats across its European network at prices starting from €17.99 for travel on Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur in February and March and flights will be available on over 1,000 of Ryanair’s European routes.

Ryanair’s €17.99 sale fare includes all non-optional taxes, charges and fees, so passengers who only travel with carry-on luggage and decline the priority boarding service can book, check-in online and fly for this advertised €17.99 fare. Flights must be booked on the Ryanair.com website before midnight (24:00hrs) Mon, 27 Jan.
