Dublin Airport has said around 660,000 passengers are expected to travel through its terminals over the course of the Christmas season, from tomorrow to Thursday 2 January.
This would represent a 4% increase over the same period last year.
Tomorrow is expected to be the busiest day before Christmas, with more than 70,000 passengers due to arrive and depart through both terminals.
Friday 27 December is expected to be the busiest day after Christmas, particularly with passengers heading to skiing destinations.
The terminals are decked with 88,000 led lights, 102 Christmas trees, 780 snowflakes and five santas.
More than 800 carol singers from local schools and choirs will perform in both terminals in the days leading up to Christmas.
