FIVE MEN ARE due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning charged in relation to a public order incident at Dublin Airport yesterday.
GardaĆ said the five men were arrested at the airport following the incident which occurred at around 6.30pm. A spokesperson for Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) told TheJournal.ie that the incident was “not significant, was dealt with quickly and involved a number of Polish football fans”.
It is understood that the men, who were in two groups of rival football fans, were denied boarding on a number of flights to Britain and a fight broke out. GardaĆ were called to the scene and the arrests were made.
The DAA said there was no disruption to any of the flights.
